4. Content Usage Rules

In addition, the submitter makes the following representations and warranties:
- You own the complete copyright in the submitted content, or have obtained the explicit and lawful authorisation of the rights holder;
- The submitted content does not infringe the copyright, portrait rights, privacy rights, trade secrets or any other lawful rights and interests of any third party;
- The attribution and crystal source information you provide is true, accurate and complete, with no misappropriation, concealment or fabrication;
- You grant this Website a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, edit, archive and distribute the content for the purpose of crystal chemistry science education, including promotional quotation on this Website's official channels (website, official social media and promotional materials); the licence terminates accordingly where you exercise your right of erasure under the Privacy Policy;
- This Website has the right to edit submitted content as appropriate for layout or content quality purposes, provided that the original meaning is not distorted; the submitter agrees that, within the scope of such reasonable editing, no claim will be made in respect of the right of integrity protected under Section 25 of the Copyright Act 1987.
Attribution and source rules (submitters must identify their own situation):
- Where the crystal was grown by you and the photograph was also taken by you, attribution shall be given as "Author / Grower: [name]";
- Where the crystal was purchased or grown by another person and only the photograph was taken by you, the submitter holds copyright only in the photograph, may only be attributed as "Photographer: [name]" and must not be attributed as "Author", and must proactively state the crystal source (seller, original grower or transfer channel) at the time of submission; this Website will verify such submissions separately before deciding whether to accept them;
- Where the submission incorporates materials of others, prior authorisation must be obtained and the original source credited in the form "Original author: xxx ｜ Compiled by: [name]"; submissions without proof of authorisation will not be accepted by this Website.
Allocation of responsibility: This Website assumes no legal responsibility for user-submitted content. Where a submitter fails to truthfully declare the source, misappropriates another's growing results, falsely represents purchased crystals as personally grown, or uses unauthorized materials, thereby triggering an ownership dispute, claim or litigation, all legal responsibility, compensation and enforcement costs shall be borne by the submitter alone; this Website assumes no joint or vicarious liability and reserves the right to recover from the submitter any losses suffered by this Website as a result. This Website also has the right to remove the relevant content without prior notice and to revoke any submission counts and acknowledgement credits already recorded.
